Remembering Oak Ridge Digital Archive & Exhibit
The "Remembering Oak Ridge Digital Archive and Exhibit: A history of forensic mental health care in Penetanguishene, Ontario from 1933-2014" is now available online. The digital archive is a multi-media repository illustrating the Oak Ridge building, including the daily life of the staff and patients, the research and treatment conducted there, and the socio-political climate in which the building was built and operated.
Did you or someone you know work at Oak Ridge? We want to hear your stories! Now that the doors to the original building have officially closed, the Research & Academics division at is working to preserve the history of that unique facility by conducting interviews with former staff. Any former staff who want to share their memories of the Oak Ridge division are encouraged to participate – we are seeking perspectives from different positions and different time periods. All interviews will be added to the Remembering Oak Ridge Digital Archive and Exhibit.
