Peer Supporters have experienced their own mental health challenges and are familiar with the formal mental health system. They are living examples of courage and recovery. By listening empathetically, offering suggestions and drawing on both personal experience and training, Peer Supporters are uniquely able to help others like themselves build a wide variety of life skills.

Our Peer Supporters are also trained in facilitating recovery oriented self-help group activites and working cooperatively with all service providers to help build a collective sense of community for clients.
