The Royal partners with Waypoint and Ontario Shores in Electronic Health Record project
After successfully launching our own electronic health record (EHR) in partnership with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, The Royal in Ottawa is joining the collaborative.
Following a detailed assessment, the Boards at all three hospitals gave their approval to expand the first mental healthcare EHR hub in Ontario. The hub creates important opportunities for standardization, collaboration and research and maintains the original vision to achieve best practice. A shared system will support leading practices and evidence-based care, improve service delivery, drive collaborative thinking and perspectives, and ultimately result in improved patient care.
All three hospitals are working together to better understand The Royal’s plans and challenges, share lessons learned from the Waypoint/Ontario Shores expansion and review shared objectives.
