Celebrating the best of 2018-19 with Waypoint's Annual Report and welcoming three new Board Members

Another year has passed and we have much toAnnual Report 2018-2019celebrate. We are excited to share our Annual Report with you - our patients, clients and families, our donors and healthcare partners, and all of our supporters.

Every year, our Annual report showcases our achievements of the previous year, from awards and fundraising success, to volunteers and how we're doing financially.

In addition to our Annual Report, we are also pleased to share that we welcomed three new members to our Board of Directors in June.

Dr. Howard Barbaree and Ernie Vaillancourt will each join us for a three-year term while John McCullough has been appointed for a one-year term.

Dr. Barbaree is the hospital’s former VP of Research and Academics and his extensive knowledge of the mental health system including forensic mental health care will be a huge asset.

Mr. Vaillancourt is also no stranger to Waypoint having served for many years as the area’s French Language Services Coordinator. Ernie’s knowledge and extensive history in health care will support our efforts toward French Language Service provision.

And last, but certainly not least, former Board Chair John McCullough has returned. Mr. McCullough has a vast history of volunteer leadership and advocacy for mental health care and he brings that wealth of knowledge back to the board.

Welcoming new board members and saying farewell to others

John Barrett-Hamilton, Susan Plewes and Ted Walker
In addition to these new members, John Barrett-Hamilton has been re-appointed as Board Chair while Adam Chambers and Cathy Bayles have been appointed as Vice-Chairs.

With these new members however, we sadly said goodbye to three others who made significant contributions during their time at Waypoint. Jennifer Rodgers, Susan Plewes and Ted Walker have all taken their leave and we are grateful for all they’ve done for Waypoint.
