Fariha Chowdhury joined the Waypoint Research Institute as a research assistant in 2021.  She is working closely with Dr. Soyeon Kim and Nicole Adams with their ongoing projects. Fariha is near completion of her Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc, Hons) in Human Behaviour this April at McMaster University. She will be starting her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science (MSc- Thesis) at McMaster University this fall focusing on preventative measure in the geriatric population. 

Currently Fariha is working on several research projects at McMaster University related to heart failure, bipolar personality disorder and mental health in at risk youth.

Aside from her research work, she also works part time as a behavioral therapist in Hamilton for children with autism. 

Fariha is passionate about clinical research and patient centered preventative measures. During her spare time, she enjoys hiking and going on adventures in her city.
