Talia EmmanuelTalia EmmanuelBSc, MRes, Research Analyst

Talia joined the Waypoint Research Institute as a Research Analyst in 2018. She supports and contributes to several research projects both within the research institute and throughout the hospital, including the Therapeutic Climate Study (2015-2019) project, the annual Ontario Perception of Care (OPOC) survey, and a Cochrane systematic review of interventions to improve treatment adherence in patients with sleep apnea. As an early-career researcher, she aspires to cultivate her skills in healthcare policy research/development, quantitative analysis, and mixed methods research design. Talia completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Waterloo and earned her Master of Research (in Clinical and Health Research) at the University of Southampton in the UK.


Research Interests


Perception of care, patient support networks, experiences of front-line healthcare workers, cultural competence, healthcare equity, patient-oriented research, co-production and service-user-designed programs, program evaluation
