Referrals at Waypoint
At Waypoint, referrals for regional (non-forensic) programs are received by the Central Intake Office and reviewed by a team of clinicians. The clinicians work collaboratively with each program to ensure patients/clients are referred and directed to the most appropriate program.
Central Intake is available from 8:00 am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Messages can be left after business hours and will be returned the next business day. We will continue to respond to referrals for our acute care program only 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please complete all sections relevant to the service you are requesting. The referral form can be completed on line but must be printed and returned by choosing one of these options:

Each program/service has its own criteria and eligibility requirements.
It is our plan to add forensic referrals to Central Intake but the date for this second phase is still to be determined. Referrals to Waypoint’s forensic mental health programs are accepted only through the court system or under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board. We do not admit individuals directly from the community to these programs.
