Research Interests
Ashley Melvin (she/her) is a Psychometrist, Research Analyst, and MEd student in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. As a Research Analyst at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, she leads projects on intimate partner violence (IPV) service needs and survivor/victim engagement in research, with a focus on participatory action research approaches.
In her work as a Psychometrist, Ashley supports equity-deserving youth across rural and remote areas of Ontario and Quebec, advocating for equitable, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention. Her background in counselling psychology further informs her commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches in both research and clinical practice.
