Jamie Campbell is Director of Philanthropy at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, bringing more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, higher education, and national charitable organizations across Canada.
An award-winning fundraising executive and community advocate, Jamie is recognized for building meaningful relationships, leading transformational campaigns, and creating strategic partnerships that advance impact in the communities that organizations serve. Throughout his career, he has helped secure significant philanthropic support for healthcare- and education-related initiatives, while championing ethical, donor-centred fundraising practices.
Prior to joining Waypoint, Jamie held senior leadership roles with organizations including Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Breast Cancer Canada, and Georgian College. Earlier in his career, he also contributed to major fundraising initiatives at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation, including the I Believe and the Hearts and Minds campaigns. His experience spans major gifts, campaign leadership, corporate partnerships, community engagement, strategic communications, and organizational leadership.
Jamie earned his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2015 and has pursued advanced studies in fundraising management, and executive leadership. He is actively involved in the philanthropic sector and has served in leadership roles with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), including as Past President of the AFP Central Ontario Chapter and as a member of AFP Global’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access) Committee.
Jamie believes philanthropy has the power not only to transform healthcare systems, but also to restore hope, dignity, and connection for individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. He is proud to support Waypoint’s mission to advance mental health care, reduce stigma, and help build healthier, more compassionate communities.
