Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care’s signature fundraising gala, An Evening to Shine the Light, returns Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Midland Cultural Centre, featuring local indie-rock favourites Born Ruffians.
Presented by TD Bank, the evening brings together music, great food and community spirit in support of mental health and addictions care. Guests will enjoy inspiring stories, a gourmet dining experience by Feast Catering & Events, a lively silent auction supported by local businesses and community partners.
Hailing from the Georgian Bay area, Born Ruffians have built a reputation for their energetic live shows and distinctive indie-rock sound. With a career spanning nearly two decades, the band has earned fans across Canada and internationally. Their performance brings local talent to the stage for a special evening that celebrates community while supporting an important cause.
An Evening to Shine the Light brings our community together to make a difference for people and families facing complex mental health and addictions challenges. The funds raised help us improve patient experiences, expand access to innovative treatments and create a brighter future for the people we serve.
Dr. Nadiya Sunderji, President and CEO of Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care.
Proceeds will support improvements to patient care spaces, access to innovative therapies and essential resources that promote recovery, connection and well-being.
Tickets are now available for the banquet-style dinner and show, with balcony seating also available for guests who wish to enjoy the Born Ruffians performance. Sponsorship opportunities remain open for companies and organizations looking to make a meaningful difference.
