Join Our 5K Training Program
Looking to build your confidence and get race-ready? Our 6 week group training program is designed to set you up for success—whether you’re new to running or getting back into a routine.
We meet once a week as a group to learn, train, and stay motivated together. You’ll also be encouraged to complete two additional runs on your own each week, with guidance and “homework” to keep you progressing.
To help you stay accountable and make it more fun, we recommend partnering up with another participant for your independent runs.
What to expect:
- Weekly group runs led by an experienced facilitator
- Personalized running “homework” to build endurance
- Tips on pacing, breathing, and effective run strategies
- A supportive, encouraging environment
Starting early gives you extra flexibility—if you miss a session or weather causes a cancellation, you’ll still have plenty of time to stay on track and feel fully prepared by race day.
Start Date: April 22
Schedule: Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Sessions may be held at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care.
Steps from your start line, experience both comfort and history with an overnight stay in one of Discovery Harbour’s brand-new, four-season cabins, nestled along the stunning shoreline of Georgian Bay.
Each climate‑controlled cabin offers a cozy; rustic glamping retreat designed for one or two guests. Step outside to your private firepit and unwind with peaceful, waterfront views as the sun sets. Modern washrooms and full shower facilities are just a short walk away, ensuring a convenient and relaxing stay.
