At this time of Thanksgiving, I want to express how deeply grateful I am for each and every one of you. Each day, you bring your dedication, compassion and resilience to our patients and each other. Together, we create an environment where healing and support flourish.
This year, as we gather to celebrate this holiday on the heels of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, I want to honour the traditions of Indigenous peoples, who have long celebrated gratitude for the gifts of the land and the community
I invite you to pause and reflect sometime in the next few days about the gifts and blessings in your life. We are stronger and more resilient together as a caring community and I encourage you to take this opportunity to reach out to those who may be struggling—whether due to health, loneliness, or other challenges. In these moments, our compassion can be a powerful source of support.
Personally, I am grateful for the precious gifts of love and support in my life, for the teamwork and solidarity of colleagues, for each of you as you inspire me and strengthen my sense of purpose as a leader, and for the knowledge that each and every one of us is making a difference in the lives of patients and clients every day.
