Waypoint brought its Frontline Wellness Program to the Township of Tay Fire Department.
The program offers accessible, low-barrier, confidential support tailored to the unique needs of first responders. Delivered across all four stations, the program meets teams where they are, offering practical tools and shared learning to help build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and support mental health on and off duty. Supporting those who face ongoing psychological risk in their work is essential to protecting both individual wellbeing and the strength of our communities.
Our interactions can sometimes leave impressions or excess baggage with the crews. Over time, continued response to these types of incidents can compound on an individuals mindset, things build up through no fault of the responder.
