Meagan Starr (she/her) completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA, Hons) in Sociology as well as earned a women’s studies certificate from Laurentian University. She continued her academic journey at Laurentian University and completed a master’s degree in Sociology. The focus of her research was on the gendering social relations of work in the Canadian automotive industry through the lens of a feminist political economic perspective.

Meagan has a passion for women’s rights and ending intimate partner violence and has experience working as a crisis counsellor at various women’s shelters in Simcoe County.

Outside of work, Meagan enjoys all things animals and has two dogs and a cat.
