Research Interests
Nafeel Ali is a Student Academic Placement with the Waypoint Research Institute. He holds a BA in Psychology from York University and is an incoming MA student in Psychology at Concordia University. At Concordia, Nafeel will be conducting research in Dr. Emily Coffey’s lab, focusing on the electrophysiological basis of auditory attention and the development of new tools to address auditory processing impairments.
Nafeel is committed to translating neuroscientific insights into effective, scalable mental health interventions. His work focuses on the intersection of sensory processing and population-level mental health, with a specific drive to improve outcomes for individuals experiencing hearing loss. By integrating clinical perspectives with computational neuroscience, he aims to bridge the gap between innovation and accessible, community-oriented mental health care.
