Join us on Saturday, June 6 for Mental Health in Motion.
Mental Health in Motion is a community-wide movement dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and generating critical funds to support Waypoint and its life-changing mental health programs for seniors, adults, youth, and children. This event brings people together to move their bodies, share their stories, and stand proudly in support of mental health—because every journey matters.
Join Our 5K Training Program
Looking to build your confidence and get race-ready? Our 6 week group training program is designed to set you up for success—whether you’re new to running or getting back into a routine.
We meet once a week as a group to learn, train, and stay motivated together. You’ll also be encouraged to complete two additional runs on your own each week, with guidance and “homework” to keep you progressing.
To help you stay accountable and make it more fun, we recommend partnering up with another participant for your independent runs.
What to expect:
- Weekly group runs led by an experienced facilitator
- Personalized running “homework” to build endurance
- Tips on pacing, breathing, and effective run strategies
- A supportive, encouraging environment
Starting early gives you extra flexibility—if you miss a session or weather causes a cancellation, you’ll still have plenty of time to stay on track and feel fully prepared by race day.
Proposed start date: April 22
Schedule: Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Sessions may be held at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care.
