Preventative Online Mental Health Program for Youth (POMHPY)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, youth in Ontario faced rising mental health challenges. In response, the Preventative Online Mental Health Program for Youth (POMHPY) was co-designed with young people using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. Informed by literature, youth input, and community feedback, the six-week virtual program supports mental, physical, and social wellbeing. This collaborative process highlights the value of youth engagement in creating effective, responsive mental health programs.
